India is a country of diversities. People of every religion and every language live here,no boundaries for any one. Here Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians all live together and also respect each other. Despite having a different culture and different appearance, there is a lot of mutual goodwill among all. Everyone celebrates their festival with great enthusiasm, whether it is Holi or Eid, Christmas or guru nanak jayanti. In this country, it is very visible to include people of other religions in their festivals and to participate in their festivals. This is the introduction of unity. Our country is an example of universal equality.
in india, we celebrate 2 types of festival, one is national and other is religious festival. there are 3 national festival, republic day (26th january), independence day (15th august) and mahatma gandhi jayanti(2nd october).

The constitution of our country was enacted on Republic Day. In the year 2020, India celebrated its 70 Independence Day. On this day, the President of the country hoists the flag and takes the salute of the parade.

August 15 is the most important day in Indian history. On this day our country got independence from the British rulers, Hence it is celebrated as Independence Day. On this day, the Prime Minister of the country hoists our national flag and addresses the public. in 2020 we will celebrate 74th independence day.

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti falls on 2 October every year. Gandhiji has played a very big role in providing independence to the country. He organized non-cooperation movement against the British. He led the Civil Disobedience Movement and Satyagraha Movement and gave independence to India. Mahatma Gandhi has been conferred with the title of "Father of the Nation".

Religious festival is celebrated in different different places of India.
