Chaitra Navratri When And For How Long



The Holy festival of chaitra navratri has started from 25th march to 2nd april. navratri festival is the festival of worship of 9 forms of Goddess Durga. in the scriptures, the beginning of the hindu new year is celebrated as the month of chaitra. Navratra is celebrated 4 times throughout the year. but Navratra celebrated in chaitra and ashwin month, pleases goddess durga. these are called Chaitra Navratra and Shardiya Navratra. rest two are Gupt Navratra. the new year begins with the Pratipada of the Sukla Paksha of Chaitra month.


Kalash(urn) sthapna Shubh Muhurat


The Auspecious time for the kalash sthapna will be from 6:23 am in the morning to 7:14 am morning. pratipada starts on tuesday, march 24 at 2:57 pm. pratipada on wednesday march 25 at 5:26 pm. it is considered auspicious to establish the kalash in Pratipada.

Siddh Yoga chaitra navratra 2020

According to astrology, this Chaitra Navratri is a combination of 4 sarwarthsiddhi yoga, 1 amritsiddhi yaga, 5 ravi yoga, 1 guru pushya yoga and 1 dwipushkar yoga. due to these siddh yogas chaitra navratra has become very important time. worshiping these days is very auspicious.

How to do Kalash Sthapna

kalash sthapna is the beginning of navratri. it should be done in Pratipada. on this day, one should wear clean cloths by Bathing in the morning and vow to fast. take soil and sow Barley in it. now set the kalash on this soil. Fill the kalash with water and mix some ganga water in the kalash. keep five mango leaves which are connected together in a sprig, in the kalash. now wrap the coconut in a red cloth(chunri) and place the coconut on the top of the kalash. decorate it with flowers. after this, offer all the worship material to mata rani. do the shringaar of mata rani with sandalwood paste and with chunri. decorate mata rani with flowers garlands. after the establishment of the kalash, burn the monothic jyot and read durga chalisa or durga saptsati. now do devotion to mata rani with true heart.


How to Perform Puja

Offer obeisance to Mata Rani on the first day of Navratri after establishing the kalash. you can make makhana kheer, puri and halwa for bhog. this makes mata rani happy and fulfills your wishes. burn the akhand jyot of ghee and sing the aarti of mata rani. on the 8th day of navratra kanya pujan is performed. 9 little girls are considered 9 forms of mata rani. therefore, during navratra worship the little girls and offer them food. 
in navratra, durga chalisa recitation should remain the positive energy in the house. according to vastu shastra, the establishment of the kalash in the northeast direction is the most appropriate. because it is considered to be the direction of the god and godess. Havan performed on the ninth day of the navratra. 
on the day of dasami(10th day of navratra), worshiping the idol of durga is immersed in the river. vijayadashami also celebrated on the day of dashami. vijayadashami is celebrated to commemorate rama's victory over ravana. vijayadashami is celebrated every year by burning ravana.
